Lucio Scudiero specialises in new technology law and compliance, with particular focus on the application of data protection and cybersecurity legislation, criminal liability of entities (Decree 231) and electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions, as governed by Regulation EU 2014/910 (“eIDAS Regulation”) and the Code of Digital Administration (Legislative Decree 82/2005). He also drafts and revises IT contracts, such as Cloud Computing Service Agreements, Privacy Level Agreements, Software Contracts, advising clients in the context of inspections and law enforcement operations undertaken by the Italian Data Protection Authority and in the context of judicial activities related to the application of data protection laws.
Furthermore, Lucio Scudiero provides counselling on the participation to open calls within the Horizon2020 scheme of the European Commission, in the fields of ICT, privacy, cybersecurity and smart cities.
Participates in conferences, workshops and courses as a speaker and is also a lecturer in several Masters on the subject of the protection of personal data.
