Paolo Guaragnella advises Italian and foreign funds and companies in all stages of their investments, i.e. from the early-stage start-up phase to the exit, through M&A or IPO; in particular, he advises clients on corporate law issues, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He has also gained extensive experience in advising listed companies in connection with extraordinary transactions and public offerings, as well as corporate governance and regulatory issues, handling relations with the relevant supervisory authorities. He is part of the Venture Capital and Equity Capital Markets teams.

Paolo worked at Legance’s office in New York since its opening in 2018.

He graduated from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan in 2004 (B.A.) and 2006 (LL.B.) with the highest grade and summa cum laude. Afterwards, he was ranked among the top applicants to the Ph.D. program in Business and Commerce Law at Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan and granted with a fellowship, discussing a thesis on “Cross-border mergers and protection of minority shareholders” in 2011.

He was admitted to the Bar in 2009.

He also spent a year at Harvard Law School and Columbia Law School and in 2020 he obtained a LL.M. at Fordham University. He is author of numerous articles published in tier-one Italian legal journals concerning corporate and business law and is lecturer of master courses on Venture Capital and Private Equity, Corporate Law and Financial Markets Law at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
