Riccardo Favaro focuses on commercial litigation, with a particular focus on both domestic and international arbitration (ICC, CAM, DIS, LCIA, SCC, Swiss Arbitration Rules). He acts as counsel to the parties, secretary to arbitral tribunals, and arbitrator. He also represents international and Italian companies in court proceedings related to arbitration before national courts, such as enforcement actions and recognition of awards.
Riccardo has a particular focus on German-speaking countries and regularly assists clients from the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
He is a member of the Executive Committee of AA40, the Italian association for young professionals, academics, and students interested in arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms. He is also a member of ArbIt (Italian Forum for Arbitration and ADR) and the Italian-German bilateral arbitration group.
In 2025, Riccardo was ranked by Chambers and Partners among the Associates to watch in the Dispute Resolution: Arbitration category.
Riccardo is the author of numerous contributions published in leading specialist online journals and has spoken at various conferences and courses on arbitration, both in Italy and abroad.
From 2020 to 2021, Riccardo was involved in the firm’s CSR activities and served as Secretary General of Pro Bono Italia.
