Tempesta in Galera is the result of the collaboration between Monoferments, an independent research laboratory affiliated with Monostudio, Legance, and the Monza Jail. The project combines research, business, and social responsibility through design.

Through the creation of a stool made from wood recovered from trees felled by extreme weather conditions, the initiative engaged inmates at the Monza jail in a hands-on training program, covering every stage, from the design to processing of the material.

Legance supports this project, which places the social value of design at its core by fostering skill development, meaningful relationships, and new opportunities for growth, while also transforming a loss into a resource, giving value to materials that would otherwise be disposed of.
