Antitrust, EU

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)

The EU, Antitrust and Regulation Department has extensive experience in notifying transactions to the Prime Minister’s Office in relation to FDI. The assistance provided concerns both notifications of transactions in which Legance handles the corporate aspects and transactions in which assistance is provided on a stand-alone basis in relation to FDI.

Thanks to its track-record, the Department has been involved in some of the most significant FDI matters in recent years, covering a wide range of sectors, including financial services, defence, energy, AI, advanced technologies, semiconductors, rare raw materials, data, agri-food, etc.

The EU, Antitrust and Regulation Department advices both the acquirers and sellers/targets to devise, in complex cases, transaction structures and filing strategies aimed at minimising risks or maximising sell-side results.
