Pro bono assistance
Legance actively collaborates with Trust Law Connect (TLC), a platform of Thomson Reuters Foundation aimed at putting worldwide NGOs and not-profit organizations into contact with top tier law firms who are available to provide free legal aid and with the Italian Coalition for Civil Liberties and Rights (or CILD), a network of civil society organizations that protect and expand the rights and liberties of all, through a combination of advocacy, public education and legal action.
In 2015, PilNet, one of the world’s leading pro bono assistance circuits, started promoting its activities in Italy. Legance has actively participated in the relevant meetings with other law firms, NGOs and associations with the aim to create the first Italian clearing house, a sort of center of ‘incubation’ of pro bono projects in Italy.
In 2018 Legance has participated to the UN Global Compact, a call to companies to voluntarily align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to take actions in support of UN goals, including the Millennium Development Goals.
