Paolo Guaragnella deals with all aspects of corporate law and extraordinary transactions; in particular he advises Italian and foreign clients on public and private mergers and acquisitions, capital markets matters, public tender offers, IPOs and cross-border reorganisations. He also gained extensive experience in advising listed companies in connection with regulatory and corporate governance issues, liaising with the relevant supervisory authorities. He is part of the Equity Capital Markets team.

Paolo worked at Legance’s office in New York since its opening in 2018 for three years.

He graduated from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan in 2004 (B.A.) and 2006 (LL.B.) with the highest grade and summa cum laude. Afterwards, he was ranked among the top applicants to the Ph.D. program in Business and Commerce Law at Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan and granted with a fellowship, discussing a thesis on “Cross-border mergers and protection of minority shareholders” in 2011. He also spent a year at Harvard Law School and Columbia Law School and in 2020 he obtained a LL.M. at Fordham University. He is author of numerous articles published in tier-one Italian legal journals concerning corporate and business law and is lecturer of Corporate Law and Financial Markets Law at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
